3. Choose placement & formatting
Select whether the annotation strip appears at the bottom or top of the photo and choose your preferred date format.
4. Review the annotated version
Preview your original photo side-by-side with the annotated photo to verify text alignment and physical proportions.
5. Download either version
Download the newly generated annotated photo or export your exact original uploaded file whenever needed.
Important Application Acceptance Notice
Check whether your application accepts annotated photos before submitting.
Not all government portals, visa authorities, or examination boards accept photographs with printed names or dates. Always verify official application guidelines for your target jurisdiction. This tool creates a separate annotated copy while preserving your original photo unchanged.
100% Local & Private Browser Processing
All image manipulation, canvas creation, and text rendering take place locally inside your web browser. Your uploaded photograph is never transmitted over the internet or stored on external servers.
Frequently Asked Questions
- Does this tool overwrite or modify my original uploaded photo?
- No. The original uploaded photo is preserved byte-identically in browser memory. The annotation strip is added to a new copy of the image so you can download both files separately.
- Is adding a name and date required for all passport or official document photos?
- No. Most passport and visa photo standards require plain, unannotated photographs. Only specific examination boards or application portals require candidate names or dates printed on the photo.
- How are the name and date placed on the photograph?
- The name and date are rendered inside a separate solid strip added outside the original photo area (at either the bottom or top). The original photo pixels are never cropped or drawn over.
- What date formats are supported by this tool?
- The tool supports DD/MM/YYYY (e.g. 13/08/2026), MM/DD/YYYY (e.g. 08/13/2026), and YYYY-MM-DD (e.g. 2026-08-13) with explicit component formatting.
- Are my uploaded photographs sent to any cloud server or database?
- No. All photo processing happens 100% client-side in your web browser. No image data leaves your device.
